Dr. Juliette Van Galder

Dr. Juliette Van Galder is originally from the great state of South Carolina where she grew up on a small farm with her parents and twin sister. Growing up, Dr. Van Galder enjoyed endurance horseback riding, running cross country, and marching in the band. She attended Coker College, a small private arts college in South Carolina before being accepted into the University of Georgia, College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating, Dr. Van Galder pursued her dream job as a veterinarian, initially working with horses, then with small animals in the ER setting. Dr. Van Galder has traveled the southeast from Charleston, SC to Atlanta, GA practicing in specialty medicine with the emergency and critical care department, as an emergency clinician. She is happily married to her husband, Jason. They have 4 wonderful children. Dr. Van Galder has a passion for critical patients and has an interest in internal medicine and surgery. She was excited to open PeachVet Pet Wellness and continue practicing high-quality veterinary care.

Beth Hogan
Receptionist
Beth grew up in the Northeast but has lived in the South for the past 20 years with her husband, Mike. Together they raised three children in Georgia and all three have gone on to become UGA Dawgs. Go Dawgs! Beth has embraced southern hospitality and is one of the smiling faces you will meet in the front office at PeachVet. When Beth is not in the office she can be found in her garden or hiking with her two goofy rescues mixes, Chase and Pax.
Shelby Smith
Registered Veterinary Technician
Shelby was born and raised in Marietta, GA. Before going into veterinary medicine, Shelby played college softball at Reinhardt University. Shelby graduated from Gwinnett Technical College in 2017 with an Associates degree in Veterinary Technology. Shelby has been a Licensed Veterinary Technician for 7 years with experience in both small animal general practice and specialty medicine. Shelby is extremely passionate about patient care and helping pets be their best selves. When she is not working, Shelby is probably at the bookstore or watching the Braves game. Shelby lives in Canton, GA with her husband, son, two dogs, and two cats.
Sanisa Foungthong
Veterinary Assistant

Sanisa is from Roswell, Georgia. She graduated from the University of Georgia in the class of 2023 and is applying to UGA vet school! After work, she loves to snuggle her longhair tabby cat, Mochi. Sanisa likes to crochet, play board games, and experience new things (especially food). Her family is from Thailand and she has grown to love travel by visiting them. Her favorite trip though has been to Australia, as she has gotten to see koalas, kangaroos, and wallabies.
Nicole Hegedus
Veterinary Assistant
Nicole was born and raised in Roswell, GA. From a young age it has been her dream to work with animals and become a veterinarian. She graduated from the University of Georgia in 2021 with a degree in Biology and is currently in the process of applying to vet school! During her time in Athens she was apart of the Large Animal Critical Care Team at UGA’s large animal hospital and volunteered at Bear Hollow Zoo where she tended to an owl, hawk, tortoise, vulture, and rabbits. At home, Nicole has two polar bears (Great Pyreneeses) and has an extra special love for all extra large breed dogs. Nicole loves to travel, her family is from Budapest, Hungary and her first language is Hungarian. In her free time she likes to shop, bake, eat and paint. She loves horses and took English and western riding lessons all through college. One day she hopes to have her own farm with horses, goats, dogs, cats bunnies and chickens. and lastly, GO DAWGS ALWAYS!!
